As part of commitment and vision, CLIP organized an online event on 15 April 2023 (02.00 pm Dhaka local time), in collaboration with the School of Law, BRAC University Bangladesh to celebrate the World Intellectual Property Day. The theme of the event was “Women in Innovative Ecosystem: Promoting Inclusivity and Diversity” aligning with WIPO’s theme of 2023 “Women and IP: Accelerating Innovation and Creativity”. CLIP along with all IP fraternities recognizes women’s contributions to science, technology, creative industries, entrepreneurship, etc. However, there remain challenges. Women, in general, worldwide do not have access to IP knowledge and skills developments to harness the benefits from IP ecosystem. Eventually, we cannot promote women’s innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship. When women lose out from the scene of innovative and creative ecosystem, we lose the inclusivity and diversity. Thus, we need an inclusive innovative and creative ecosystem to embrace novel ideas and diverse perspectives. By this event, CLIP reiterated its commitments to assist the women innovators and creators in Bangladesh for a better inclusive and diverse innovative and creative ecosystem.
