Wayne Thembani Chinembiri is a registered legal practitioner of the High and Supreme Court of Zimbabwe. His areas of interest include but are not limited to Intellectual Property law, Telecommunications law, Corporate and Commercial law, Mining law and Environmental law. He holds a Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property law (LL.M) from the University of Stellenbosch. Currently, he is based in Munich, Germany where he holds a Research Associate position at the Chair of Corporate Law and Intellectual Property in the School of Management at the Technical University of Munich. He also lectures in World Trade law and Trademarks and Brand Protection. Simultaneously, he is studying towards his law Doctorate (Ph.D) in Patent law and mobile communication technologies. Previously, he held a research position in the Intellectual Property law and Policy Advocacy division at Ericsson. He is the current Chief Executive Officer of TU-eMpower-Africa (TUMA), a Non-Profit Organization promoting sustainable development of water, energy and food (WEF) systems and building projects based on student academic research in Sub-Saharan African countries such as Zimbabwe, Rwanda and Ghana.
